The Accommodation
Where is the retreat located?
We are nestled within the womb of Maui, on the western shores of Hawai‘i a coastline blessed by the presence of the whales who return each year to birth and sing in these sacred waters.
Our retreat takes place in a private oceanfront sanctuary, a humble yet breathtaking glamping space where the rhythm of the ocean is your morning song. Each hale (traditional Hawaiian house) holds four women a shared sanctuary designed in simplicity and care, where every step brings you closer to the sea.
From your doorway, your feet meet the sand. A few more steps, and you’re standing in the shallows, gazing across the Whale Sanctuary of Maui where mothers and calves breach, play, and sing in the distance.
During your free time, you might walk the beach, rest beneath the palms, or paddle quietly across the turquoise waters on a kayak or stand-up board. It is a place of profound beauty and life humble in form, yet rich in mana, alive with the aloha spirit and the resonance of the whales.
This is more than a location it is a living sanctuary, inviting you to return to the song of the sea and the home of your own heart.

Your retreat investment covers:
- 6 days/5 nights accommodation in our soulful glamping style gathering

- Whale encounters by canoe, sailing, or ocean journeys
- Sacred beach/ocean/star/fire ceremonies and cultural teachings

Do I need prior experience in singing or sound healing?
Not at all. This retreat welcomes every woman exactly as she is whether you’re a budding musician, beginning your journey with your own voice, or simply curious about sound as a tool for healing and expression.
We’ve designed the experience to meet you where you’re at. It’s a safe and nurturing space to explore your voice, build confidence, and connect deeply with your inner rhythm.
Whether you’re drawn to public speaking, wish to sing with more freedom, or feel called to experiment with crystal bowls and vibrational sound through the body, you’ll be gently guided into your own natural resonance.
Here, we grow together each woman trusting her unique tone, while flourishing as one harmonic field of sisterhood and sound.
What is the age range?
Women of all ages are welcome. Our circle celebrates intergenerational wisdom from young women stepping into their voices to elders rekindling their creative fire and vitality.
This retreat is designed as a time for deep rest, connection, and renewal. While we honour the sacred role of motherhood, we also recognise how important it is for māmā to receive undisturbed nourishment and space for themselves.
For this reason, we ask that participants come without young children, unless you are breastfeeding a very young pēpi who is mostly sleeping and can be cared for in a calm and respectful way that doesn’t disrupt the shared space.
If you’re unsure whether this retreat is suitable for your situation, please reach out to us via email or Call or Message Whaia we’ll help you find the most supportive option for your season of life.
This is a sanctuary where every woman young or elder, can breathe, listen, and remember herself fully.
How many women will be attending?
This retreat is a potent and intimate container, lovingly limited to 20 women.
We keep our circle small so that each voice, heart, and story can be deeply felt, and every participant receives personal guidance and connection.
In the spirit of reciprocity and aloha, we are also holding space for one or two local wāhine (women) from Maui (15+) who are walking their own path of cultural remembrance and renewal. This offering honours the sacredness of the ‘āina (land) and supports the intergenerational wisdom that flows through the islands.
If you know a young woman who you feel would be uplifted by this experience, you are welcome to nominate her. (See the link on the webpage next to the FAQ button – you can close this window using the x in the top right and come back once you’re ready). Together, we weave a field of global sisterhood rooted in respect, empowerment, and belonging.
